About this position

Locums are engaged to provide services to all facilities in the HHS and site allocation may differ from the primary site that is initially booked. Locum candidates must be prepared to participate in 100% of the roster, including all shift types and on-call requirements. Any special requests must be presented with the candidate application. Required Documentation: CV, as per attached WBHHS Business Rules. (Date format to be chronological, MM/YYYY – MM/YYYY, gaps of 6 weeks or more to be explained, Signed verification statement by doctor); 2 x references (both from clinical supervisors who has observed the locum within the last 6 months, referee reports must be signed with a pen by the referee or electronically signed through programs like DocuSign from a professional email account eg. @health.qld.gov.au); Applicant declaration, must be signed with a pen (wet signature); VPD form and TB Questionnaire; Immunisation evidence, including updated flu vaccination; Photo ID (current and in date passport or drivers licence in colour); Immigration Notification and VEVO (if overseas passport, with agency as employer); VEVO permission form; Qualification/s (base degree, GESA); CPD activity statement and certificate confirming CPD compliance for the previous medical year- Specialist only; Current National Police Clearance, please have the locum send this document to us at WBHHSMedicalLocum-Bundaberg@health.qld.gov.au 10 days prior to the commencement of their placement.; Completed Criminal History check form (please ensure that the signature matches the one used on the supplied ID (Passport or Drovers licence)) – Medical Locum officer to supply; Current ALS certificate; NDIS Worker Screening Check (evidence of issue and NDIS Screening Card); Medicare letter confirming provider numbers or the PRODA screenshot (with a date, time stamp, and Medicare Australia header). Presentations that do not include the documentation above will not be considered. All suitable candidates will be forwarded to the Clinical Director for consideration, provided the locum placement agency can demonstrate that appropriate recruitment checks have been undertaken and documentation supplied is of a satisfactory standard in line with the attached business rules. Please ensure the RTS Number is in the subject line along with the locum medical officer’s name and position (e.g., RTS 2016029 – Dr John Smith – Med PHO) and send to: WBHHS-MedicalLocum-Bundaberg@health.qld.gov.au. Where longer vacancies exist, candidates with the ability to complete all or most of these placements are preferable. Returning applicants and those who can work in multiple placements are greatly appreciated. Contracts are not generated for placements under 7 days.

Benefits

  • Flights and Mileage: Up to $1000; Accommodation & Car Hire: Up to $150 per day (+1 additional day); Car Hire Only: Up to $60 per day (if accommodation is provided) (+1 additional day)
