Supervising GP On Call allocations. Some on call duties can be done remotely from accommodation, some require onsite physical attendance. Supervising GP’s role is to be available for 24 hours between 8-8am. There are 4 HMOs rostered to a day AM, SWING, PM, Night shift (+ a ward AM HMO). Weekdays there is an SMO (FACEM/GP/Senior Reg) between 9-5. The supervising GP may be rostered to the SMO and on-call. If on-call the supervising GP needs to be available for phone advice and to attend the UCC for care as required. The supervising GP is only required to be on-call for the Acute ward after 5pm as there is a GP allocated to the ward between 9-5. Out of hours if the GP needs to attend for Cat 1+2 pts. Acute patients vary as in any UCC. About 20% Paediatric presentation group. 5 Acute Beds, 1 Resus Bay (can split in two if needed), 4 Short Stay Beds. 24 Acute beds, 2 Birth Suite beds, 2 Post Natal beds, 3 dialysis chairs, 6 cancer treatment chairs (Frank Minchinton), Corangamarah Aged Care.
