About this position

FRACGP or FACRRM, rural/remote clinical experience, and ALS2. AST in Emergency, Remote Medicine, or Internal Medicine is advantageous. 3 different roster start times (Morning, mid-morning and evening). 10-hour shifts (weekdays and weekends). On-Call: 1:2 or 1:3 (Included in the daily rate). Locums must have ALS2 and IeMR training preferred. If IeMR training is required, this will be done face to face at the Townsville University Hospital, and the locum will need to catch the last flight to the island. Emergency Department: 1-2 beds, approx. 22 presentations per 24 hours. Inpatient Ward: 11 beds (avg. occupancy: 6). JPHS works closely with Palm Island Community Company (PICC), an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, to deliver culturally sensitive and comprehensive healthcare.
