About this position
PROMPT (obstetric emergency training) or equivalent completed within the last 12 months. Level 3 FSEP certification current within 12 months. Neonatal Resuscitation (NNR) certification current within 12 months. Advanced procedural skills and confidence working independently in a rural setting. Overseeing all aspects of hospital-based assessment during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum period for both mothers and newborns. Manage approximately 150–200 births per year. Deliver comprehensive care where no on-site paediatrician is available; candidates should be comfortable and proficient in managing both well and unwell neonates. Work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to safe, high-quality rural maternity care.
