You’ll be the sole Doctor in charge of emergency medicine, providing vital care to patients in our bustling Emergency Department. Locums must remain onsite for the entire shift, ensuring prompt and continuous care, except for designated breaks. Shifts are strictly Day 0800-2000 and Night 2000-0800. Plus, locums presenting for more than 7 days on-call will require 2 mandatory rest days for fatigue management.
Inverell District Hospital has a dedicated Emergency Department providing care for high acuity critical care patients with a wide variety of clinical presentations that will enhance your independent practitioner skills and autonomy while being supported by on-site anaesthetics, gynaecology and remote retrieval teams. We have a strong focus on community engagement and work collaboratively with our GP/VMO’s. We also have on-site staff facilities and ample parking.
