About this position
We are on call for Rehab inpatients after hours (but rarely get called).
The service comprises:
22 bed inpatient unit. Provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services to the northern sector of HNELHD
Transitional Living Unit for Brain Injury / New England Brain Injury Rehabilitation service.
(Neuropsychology, Physiotherapy, Dietitian, Speech Pathologist, Occupational therapist, Social work, Paediatric case manager, Aboriginal liaison officer) New England Spinal cord Injury Service, Amputee clinics (attended by ForMotion Prosthetics and Orthotics) Outpatient clinics Outreach clinics Moree/ Narrabri Inverell
Rehab Unit Staffing: Medical: (2 Rehab Physicians, Registrar (accredited for advanced training with AFRM(RACP), JMO) RNs & Ens
Allied Health: Physiotherapy (1 senior & 1 rotating), Occupational Therapy (1 senior & 1 rotating), Social work, Speech Pathology, Dietitian, Allied Health Assistants.
Teaching all of the above + JMOs + medical students + GPs & VMOs
A Gen Med Physician or Geriatrician would be considered- but not other Physicians. No public holidays or weekends.
