Belmont Hospital is seeking a FACEM Emergency Medicine VMO locum to join a supportive and well-run Emergency Department within the Hunter New England Local Health District. This busy district hospital provides 24/7 ED services to the Lake Macquarie community, with a broad case mix, on-site diagnostics, and strong nursing and medical support.

Belmont is a relaxed coastal suburb on the shores of Lake Macquarie, offering an excellent work–life balance with beaches, cafes, and outdoor activities right on your doorstep. The hospital is around 20–25 minutes from Newcastle, approximately 35–40 minutes from Newcastle Airport, and about 1.5 hours north of Sydney by car. Travel is straightforward by road, with flights into Newcastle Airport and local public transport and rideshare options available.
