ED/Ward Days. ?
Face-to-face clinical handover with night doctor at 0730 – 0800 and 1730 – 1800 in the Emergency Department.
?
Daily inpatient ward rounds from 0800-0930.
?
Document daily ward rounds, provide medical care to inpatients, complete discharge summaries and review admitted patients as requested.
?
Provide onsite medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
?
Provide medical care to admitted postoperative patients.
?
Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR.
?
Provide and lead clinical review, rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility.
?
Check pathology and radiology results in the ED results message centre ordered by any doctor, follow-up and document management plans for any results needed further action and review any patients returning for follow-up of results.
?
Provide surgical assistance in theatre when required.
?
Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars.
?
Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings as requested.
