Bulli Hospital is a specialised healthcare facility serving the northern suburbs of Wollongong in the Illawarra region of NSW. With approximately 60 beds, the hospital has been transformed from a general facility into the Bulli Aged Care Centre of Excellence, focusing on aged care, rehabilitation, and palliative care services. Operating under Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, the facility underwent a $50 million redevelopment completed in 2020, creating a modern integrated health center. Bulli Hospital features an Urgent Care Centre for non-life-threatening emergencies, geriatric evaluation and management services, rehabilitation units, and outpatient clinics. The facility houses both public hospital services and a residential aged care facility operated by IRT Group, creating an innovative public-private partnership model. Bulli Hospital plays a vital role in the northern Illawarra, providing specialised healthcare services to this coastal region’s significant aging population.
