Overview

Blacktown Hospital is a major metropolitan facility in Western Sydney, providing comprehensive healthcare services to one of Australia’s fastest-growing urban populations. With approximately 400 beds following recent expansion, the hospital offers a wide range of services including emergency care, intensive care, cardiology, cancer care, maternity, pediatrics, mental health, and rehabilitation. As part of the Western Sydney Local Health District, Blacktown Hospital underwent a $700 million redevelopment completed in stages between 2016 and 2020, significantly expanding its capacity and introducing new technologies. The hospital serves as a teaching facility affiliated with Western Sydney University and features specialised centers for stroke management, diabetes, and renal care.
