- travel allowance (reimbursement of one direct economy class return airfare up to $1000 AUD per contract
- or kilometric allowance of 37.5 cents per kilometre

- additional flights for extended contracts may be negotiated
- land travel to and from departing airport is doctor's responsibility
- fleet cars not available to locums
- travel expenses during placement cannot be claimed
