About this position
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Psychiatry (Australia/NZ) required. Inpatient: Adult unit, 6-bed ward, covers Consultation-Liaison. Team: 1 Consultant Psychiatrist, 1 SMP, 1 RMO. On-call: 1 in 4 roster (single clinician, not onerous; ED supported by Psychiatric Liaison Nurse). Patient cohort: Adults with serious mental illness. Not a RANZCP-accredited postgraduate training position (accreditation planned). Community Mental Health Services: On-site CMHS team includes 1 Consultant Psychiatrist and 1 SMP. Doctors participate in on-call roster. Approx. 150 case-managed adult patients. Dedicated case managers for adults and older adults. Visiting OA Psychiatrist monthly. OA patients requiring admission are transferred to Perth. Credentialing required prior to commencement.
