All day shifts will be week days 25th – 29th and on call shifts will be 28th, 29th, 30th & 31st.

O&G REGISTRAR (CMO) POSITION OUTLINE
Griffith Base Hospital Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service provides care for 500-550 births per year and a specialist obstetrics and gynaecology clinic.
The O&G CMO role includes the following duties:
• Daily ward rounds Monday to Friday with the on-call doctor attending weekend ward rounds
• General O&G ward duties including discharge summaries
• Assessments of women presenting to the maternity unit
• Emergency Department gynaecology consults
• Assisting at O&G theatre lists
• Support specialist run O&G clinics (CMOs don’t have their own clinic but may be called to help the specialist in their clinic)
• Participate in an on-call roster.
• Strictly adhere the guidelines provided by “NSW Health Consent to Medical & Healthcare Treatment Manual” 2024 https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/policies/manuals/Publications/consent-manual.pdf
and to document in EMR/ Maternity EMR (electronic medical record) the discussion details including the indication and the risks of the procedure.
