Hospital to organise accommodation, travel covered up to $800/ placement for car hire, domestic flights only. Monday to Friday- no public holidays. . “Role Description: This is a full -time consultant role which may include working on our inpatient unit at the Mater Mental Health Centre, or our community adult mental health team in Charlestown, or a combination of both depending on need.
The inpatient unit consists of 22 beds for consumers with acute mental health issues. The consultant would typically be responsible for 10 to 12 inpatients and would usually have a full-time registrar and a full-time JMO working alongside them.
The community team includes staff specialist psychiatrists, 2 registrars, and a multidisciplinary team, and if required, you may be asked to assess newly referred patients, or alternatively, patients who are care coordinated by clinicians at the service.
Accreditation as a RANZCP supervisor is advantageous as provision of supervision for the registrar is an important part of the position.”
Oncall requirement Monday to Friday. This is to provide phone advise only and they will not be required to be recalled to the service, The oncall shift commences from 5pm and finishes at 8:30am”.
